The War Within Us

¹⁴ [^LFor] We know that the law is spiritual, but I am ·not spiritual [fleshly; carnal] ·since sin rules me as if I were its slave [^Lsold to sin; ^Cas a slave]. ¹⁵ [^LFor] I do not understand the things I do. [^LFor] I do not do what I want to do, and I do the things I hate. ¹⁶ And if I do what I do not want to do, that means I agree that the law is good [^CPaul’s acknowledgement that his behavior is wrong confirms the law’s righteous standards].
